LeadWork

Lead is the gold standard for weatherproofing roof junctions, valleys, and abutments. We install custom-molded leadwork that seals your property against water ingress for decades.

When You Need LeadWork Services

Lead flashings have cracked, slipped, or pulled away from brick walls. Your roof valleys are leaking due to worn or split lead lining. White powdery staining indicates corroding or aging leadwork. Water enters your loft space around chimney or dormer window junctions.

How We Do It

We assess worn or damaged lead junctions during our roof inspection. We carefully remove old lead and clean out masonry joints. We cut, dress, and secure new code-compliant lead sheet into place with proper expansion joints. We point mortar into the masonry chases to lock the flashing securely.

What to Expect

Most lead valley and flashing repairs or installations take 1 to 2 days.

LeadWork FAQs

Lead is exceptionally durable, flexible, and fully recyclable, able to expand and contract with temperature changes without cracking.
Correctly installed code-compliant leadwork can easily last well over 50 years.
Minor cracks can sometimes be temporarily sealed, but full replacement of the affected section is best for long-term reliability.
We use British Standard rolled lead sheet in appropriate codes (Code 4 through Code 7) depending on the specific application.
